In the Steps of Jesus

Revd Dr Peter Walker bring to bear his extensive study of the New Testament and his frequent visits to Israel to give us a fresh focus on the historical Jesus and what that means to be present day followers of the risen Jesus. Peter studied Classics and Early Church History at Cambridge University, did extensive research at post-doctoral level on attitudes to Jerusalem within the Bible and the era of the early church, taught New Testament at Wycliffe Hall, Oxfor, was Professor of Biblical Studies at Trinity School for Ministry, (near Pittsburgh, USA) from 2012 to 2017, and has led guided tours to the lands of the Bible for over 30 years. He is widely acknowledged as one of the foremost experts on the Holy Land. His book, In the Steps of Jesus (Lion Hudson: Oxford, 2006), has come to be recognized as the authoritative guide for Christian visitors. Peter was my tutor at Wycliffe and I can still remember the energy and enthusiasm of his gospel seminars so I can thoroughly recommend this evening to everyone, and it might even give a bit of an insight into the horribles stories coming out of Gaza at this time.
